The College of Management at Takming University consists of five departments and one post-graduate program. These include: the Department of International Trade, the Department of Business Administration (including the Fashion Management Program and the Industrial Technology and Commercial Management Special Program, which is exclusively for students with special achievements), the Department of Marketing Management (including the International Exhibition and Leisure Tourism Program), the Department of Distribution Management (including the Franchise Business and Management Program), and the Department of Applied Foreign Languages (including the Japanese Language Program). In addition, there is the In-service Master Program of Marketing Management.
The college is committed to promoting management education, with "teaching innovation" as its main focus, with "theme-teaching" and "interdisciplinary learning" as its two major teaching cores. Through interactive learning and strengthening implementation and production, students are able to understand the processes in industry and rapidly obtain key knowledge. Furthermore, students adopt interdisciplinary thinking through competitions to solve dilemmas in industry, to participate in the sustainable society, and to enhance employment competitiveness.
The College of Management at our university keeps pace with trends, establishing the Department of Marketing Management and the Department of Distribution Management ahead of other universities in the country. In the past few years, we planned the internalization and transformation of the Department of International Trade, the industrial application and upgrading of the Department of Business Administration, and expanded to encompass the high-added value fashion industry to respond to manpower demands in social marketing, cold chain logistics, trade and commerce, and fashion management within the industry. In terms of curriculum design, six credit programs from these disciplinary areas are offered to develop students’ interdisciplinary learning ability. Each department progresses separately and advances in unison to provide the most complete and in-depth training for our students.
In addition, the college specifically values the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents. We offer six interdisciplinary credit programs to encourage students to implement interdisciplinary learning, including “social media management and marketing”, “cold chain international distribution”, “fashion industry business and management”, “trade and commerce”, “consumer finance product marketing”, and “international exhibition”.

The Department of Distribution Management was established in 2003, and the Franchising Management Program has been offered since 2019. We offer the best facilities, the most professional course curriculum, the most diverse teaching activities, and the most abundant industry-government-university programs. Our educational goal is to cultivate students becoming middle management talents, as required in the “circulation service industry” and “franchising industry”. In the post-epidemic era, both commercial modes and consumer behaviors have changed rapidly. The circulation industry and the franchising industry will be the two key industries that will become essential and irreplaceable. Characterized by a huge market scale and unlimited business opportunities it also meets the development trends of automation, intellectualization, and technologicalization in the future. Choosing our department means taking control of your future!
The Department of Distribution Management is the only professional department related to “circulation” among the colleges and universities in the north of Taiwan, and our Franchising Program is the only professional program related to “franchise” in the country. The three key features of our Department are excellent faculties, a practical curriculum, and professional internship opportunities. Our teachers have outstanding performance in the dimensions of industry-academia cooperation, research, teaching, and supervision. Our practical curriculum includes diverse teaching activities, such as industry expert co-teaching, corporate visits, topic orientation, and professional fields. Moreover, we have professionally-featured classrooms that are unique in the country, including a “cold chain logistics lab” and a “franchise entrepreneurship room.” The companies that work with us for internship are all nationally well-known listed companies. The effectiveness of our internship program is the most outstanding in the whole university.
Other than continuing academic study at graduate schools related to business management at domestic or overseas universities, our graduates are able to directly enter the workplace. To enhance the employment competitiveness of our graduates, other than systematically strengthening students’ professional knowledge and skills in the two key industries of circulation and chain business, our Department focuses professional development on the popular industries that offer market scale and development potentials, including “e-commerce”, “logistics”, “wholesale and retail”, “catering and beverage services”, and “aesthetic medicine and life”. With us, students can enhance their professional abilities through the four-year study and develop interdisciplinary knowledge and skills. They will be ready to enter the top enterprises in these industries for their internships and for employment in the future!
